Edexcel BTEC HND in Business (Finance)

Overview

This course provides a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required in Banking and Finance. It have been developed to focus on: providing education and training for a range of careers in business such as administration, personnel, marketing, finance, law, purchasing and management, providing a general qualification which allows flexibility of study to meet local or specialist needs, providing specialist options which meet the needs of the major functions in business and allow specialisation with career progression and professional recognition in mind and providing opportunities for learners to focus on the development of higher-level skills in a business context.

Upon successful completion of the HND in Business (Finance), students are able to apply for a wide range of employments in the banking and finance organizations. Alternatively, students may proceed to the final year of the BA Honours in Business Management degree from the University of Sunderland.

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements

Students with at least 17 years of age and one of the following:

  • One GCE A Level pass
  • Successful completion of a recognised Access or Foundation programme including LCCI, Cambridge Advance Level Diploma, NTC, International NITEC and other equivalent programmes
  • Foreign students with successful completion of 12 years of general academic qualification (GCE A level equivalent)
  • Students over 21 years of age, who do not possess the above qualifications but have suitable industrial and commercial experience may also be considered
  • If English is not the first language, student should normally have reached a level of competence equivalent to a TOEFL score of 525 or above Band 5.5 on the IELTS scale or an equivalent qualification.
  • Student without the required English language proficiency are required to take the General English and English for Academic Purposes program offered by TEG International College
